"ONYX Logos"
This series of renders were created to supply sets of animated and still logos for all of my art projects (such as this one). They have been used as lead-ins and titles on video, logos on printed media, screen images, and as part of this HTML script.

The ONYX logo shape was lofted and then "carved" into stone through the use of SXP routines from the Imagine Fractal Bouquet. These IPAS textures were also applied as bump maps to give the ONYX symbol depth and realism. The water beneath the logo was animated with the Water.SXP. A second version was created with the flick file of the animated water reapplied as both a texture and a bump map. The material color was modified to reddish hues which gave a final product resembling flowing molten lava or blood beneath the stone symbol. The highlight and the text glow were created using LenzFX 2.0.
